Meet the crew of the U-Fly Training Academy!

Robert Gobac (CFI– Grade II)

Dr. Robert Gobac is the Chief Flying Instructor at U-Fly Training Academy. He has a vast experience in general aviation and is rated on over 50 different types of aircraft as a pilot and instructor. He is also a Designated Examiner and presenter in Radio Telephony and CRM Courses. He has an extensive experience and passion for flying training. He is a medical doctor as well as charter pilot on Jet aircraft, King Airs, Caravans and DC-4’s.

Nikola Puhaca

Nikola has completed his Aeronautical Engineering Degree in December 1999 at Wits University. Since then, Nikola has initiated a number of leading aviation companies in South Africa, namely Belaire Aviation. He has also established an Aircraft Maintenance Organization called Skytech Aviation which is becoming one of the leading maintenance organizations at Rand Airport for general aviation. Nikola, has through the years gained a well rounded and complete knowledge on all aspects of the aviation field.

Robbert Berriman

Robbert has been employed with the company since 2007, behind the reception desk. He is an aspiring commercial pilot with 166hrs. He has completed his PPL, Night rating, initial twin rating and has built up more than 20 hours solo twin engine time. He shall be completing his CPL exams in July and his CPL rating by the end of the year.

Neville is a “young” retiree from the business-consulting world, specialising in the operations level of manufacturing, service and agricultural industries. He is now one of our instructors.

Flying is Neville’s hobby and passion. His flying license has been current ever since it was issued (in 1976) with him flying close to 1 900 hours to date throughout Southern Africa. He also enjoys periodically presenting ground classes for the students, focusing on the practical subjects of navigation, flight planning and meteorology.

Vid Gobac

Vid is currently working on obtaining his PPL. He helps out at the school and is aspiring to become a future commercial pilot.

Michael has years of experience as a flying instructor. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and flies for passion. Michael’s briefings are irreplaceable (be it in German or English)

Yvonne is a commercial pilot. Except for instructing at U-Fly, she is the operations manager at Comair. She is waiting for the right seat in a Boeing 737
